The pay range is $126,600.00 - $227,900.00

The Senior Engineering Manager (SEM) - Network Threat Protection will have strong engineering skills. They will be responsible for managing initiatives to protect against evolving network and email threats while mentoring a talented team of engineers. This includes securing various facets of email, web, and network traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous development.

• Design and implement scalable solutions to protect against email and web-based threats with a focus on high-traffic environments.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other security teams to enhance our overall security posture.

• Ensure effective protection of web-traffic, including CDN management and HTTP security.

• Manage day-to-day operations and ensure timely resolution of network and email security issues.

• Contribute to strategic decisions for our WAF and email platforms.

About You:

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.

• 1-3 years of managing teams with a strong track record of delivery for cross-functional product experience.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate technical details to stakeholders.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and developing talent.

• Ability to drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, motivating atmosphere.

• A proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Demonstrate ability to handle and navigate difficult conversations and conflicts.

Experience with the following is a plus, but not required:

• Strong understanding of CDN, HTTP Protocols, OWASP Top 10, securing email and web traffic.

• Familiarity with email protection systems, particularly in defending against phishing and malicious emails.

• Experience in e-commerce security, particularly in protecting high-traffic web environments.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
